The point of a reasonable argument is to exchange contradictory views, have an intellectual challenge, learn and at least try to understand the reason behind a statement. Hopeless and desperate cynicism is the weapon of the desperate, the ignorant and those who have no other choice when all other argumentation fails.

Not on my part.

By mocking the intellectual concepts or even social background of other people one can easily fall into the trap of ignorance.

Again, not on my part.

I would like to apologize for the trouble I did not cause on my part. I guess I must to keep the peace, even if it bother sme.

I also wish to have intellectual exchange on, say, the values of GG's Mozart Piano Sonatas. Or his interest in Wagner. Or his strange fascination with Schönberg. I would like to see the first rewiews of the DVD bos set and not having to argue with a tiresome megalomaniac.

That is what I am here for.

It has been said that Platon (and later Ovid in the Metamorphosis I think) used to irritate the citizens of Athens with annoying questions in order to find the truth. Based on the reactions of this short outburst with Mr Schmidt I do feel quite contempt to be on the side of Reason, Logic, Rationality and being able to appreciate Beauty.

Stupidity, Brainwashing, ignorance, the joy of finding things out, having a different opinion and experiencing new sounds will hardly lead you to the joy of listeing to GG.

Pat

Now I am definetly out of here. I had to agrue with a loony and apologize for that which is quite tiresome
