The English libretto is a new one by Stephen Fry. It's really swell, quick and funny.</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">People have always griped about Shickenader's original libretto with its coded reflections of Freemasonry. In 1957 W.H. Auden wrote an original English libretto, but I've never seen or heard it.
