Yes, that is one of the works that Gould disliked but at the same
time was deeply moved by Richter's performance of. Richter asked
Monsaingeon if his playing had convinced Gould of the work's merrit
-- that was HIS only concern. Also Weissenberg (Rachmaninov) and
Brendel (Mozart) are pianists who Gould felt played well in works he
didn't like.<br>
